George Clooney Rick Hunter

George Clooney is an American film actor, musician, director, writer and philanthropist. He has been the recipient of several Golden Globe awards and lots of Academy Awards, most notably for his portrayal of Alex Cross. In recent years, he’s been the subject of numerous critical reviews and has been nominated for Oscars eleven times. He currently ranks ninth among all actors of all time in terms of total number of Oscar awards received.

After studying acting at the University of London, Clooney went to study drama at the University of California, Los Angeles. There he met future wife Amalaya Clooney, who was then employed as an assistant director on the film Napoleon Dynamite. After leaving the school, they worked together on the film, winning the Oscar for this.

Following that success, Clooney chose to make his name more known by starring in certain well-received films. One of them was the Vanilla Sky, which did not do so well at the box office. But, it was a critical success on the way to winning him an additional Oscar for his second film. Together with the similarly themed Apartment Zero, this was the start of a long string of Oscar winning films. The next movie in his career was The Deerhunter, which was also well received by critics and won him a fourth Oscar for his work in it. Following these successes, other similar films followed including Man on the Moon, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bruce Almighty, and Signs and Stones.

As a director, Clooney has written or co-written the scripts for some of his movies. His first movie in this genre was Rainmaker. This was created by his friend, the late Charles Bronson. His next film to star him was A Few Good Men, which did not do so well at the box office, but was a hit in the audience’s eye. The cash failed to flow into the movie’s coffers, however, and it wasn’t expected to do very well.

Following that, Clooney chose to focus on dramas rather than comedies, but he’d star in a few comedies, such as 1997’s Man on the Moon, which was directed by Steven Spielberg and cast him alongside Ben Affleck. While the movie failed to perform very well at the box office, it was a beloved film by those who saw it. He also featured in the 1998 film Webster, which was well critically acclaimed. Following that, Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel was released, which starred Clooney as the title character.

He then teamed up again with Spielberg for the Film Jurassic Park. This time, the movie did quite well at the box office, earning him an additional Oscar nomination. Jurassic Park ranks as the highest grossing movie of all time, and its success remains today. Other big budget franchise movies have followed in its footsteps, such as Harry Potter and Star Wars. In fact, all of these films were produced during the golden era of blockbuster filmmaking, and George Clooney has certainly had his hands in quite lots of memorable ones.

But, it was The Game that really defined what a George Clooney movie should be. The film was directed by Clint Eastwood, and it was thought of as among the greatest films of its time. It told the story of an aging retired athlete that strove to lead a normal life after being diagnosed with cancer. The film featured prospective actors including Jeff Bridges and Bill Murray.

No matter which film you prefer, it’s possible that you will see at least one picture from the illustrious career of George Clooney. His films will continue to be long remembered by generations of Americans. Following his stint with Hollywood, Clooney goes on to star in several independent films, such as Seabiscuit and Labor Day. He would then turn his attention to movies directed by fellow Hollywood screenwriters, such as author Paul Newman and director Carlito’s Way.
